Lil Wayne & Olympian Michael Phelps Team Up To Open SNL
Reports are swirling about Lil Wayne and Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps opening up the 34th season of NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” next month.
Phelps will serve as the show’s host, while Wayne hits the stage as their musical guest, says The Associated Press.
Both stars will be deflowered (it is their first time on the show) on September 13th.
As previously reported by LilWayneHQ.com, Phelps shouted out rappers like Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, and Outkast as his musical inspirations during his history making performance at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Phelps was the first athlete to win eight gold medals at a single Olympics.

Although we have heard of Lil Wayne, not since this summer has anyone really heard of Michael Phelps. And now he is going to be on SNL in September? His media and PR is working fast and very well. The only thing we can hope for is that he will continue to have a good public image, managed by the right people. You always have to find the right company that will do the job like the artists Phelps mentioned are his favorites…Young Jeezy and Lil Wayne. I know that Young Jeezy’s PR team is 5WPR in NYC, giving the media the superstar image a rapper like him wants.
