Young Money President Mack Maine has told MTV that Lil Wayne is ready to release the first single from his upcoming Tha Carter IV album before the end of this month (December).
“We definitely dropping it before the end of the year,” Mack revealed to MTV News. “We ready to go now; we getting it mixed.”
The single will be called “6’7″” and will feature the latest artist to sign to Young Mula, Cory Gunz. If you are not familiar with Cory, then you need to start checking out his tracks on YMHQ because his songs are sick! For example, check out his verse on the “Loyalty Remix“.
DJ Scoo Doo compared the record to “A Milli” when he first heard it by tweeting: “Just think a 2010 version of A Milli… but on steroids!”
Weezy is also set to shoot a few music videos soon for C4 and his IANAHB album. Mack also said that C4 will consist of material Tune wrote down in prison:
“Wayne’s talking bananas. Some of the rhymes were actually written in jail. First time you all are gonna hear Wayne write in a minute,” Mack revealed. “He actually sat down and wrote this time. It’s amazing.”
