Lil Wayne recently chopped it up with MTV earlier this week while on set of his “Krazy” video shoot in Los Angeles.
During their conversation in the clip that you can watch below, Tune speaks on shouting out Jay-Z on his “D’usse” song, if Jay will be featured on Tha Carter V, and how he approaches C5 in the studio.
Jay-Z shout out on “D’usse”:
“Hov is the god – I’ll give Hov a big shout out at all times. But we was just on that D’usse heavy. I don’t write none of my music – I don’’t write it down, so I just go in there and say whatever come to my mind. So what came to my mind that night, was what was on my mind that night.”If Jay will be featured on Tha Carter V:
“I’m not gon’ bother that guy, I’m not gon’ bother him. He seems like he’s pretty busy right now, but… you never know.”How he approaches to record C5 in the studio:
“The beauty of being Wayne and being in control of creativity is that I get to do what I want. So if it’s the I Am Not A Human Being project, that’s the way I’m gonna attack it and approach it. I’m not gonna do it for the mixtape fans, I’m not gonna do it for Tha Carter fans – it’s for the I Am Not A Human Being fans and that album went Platinum. When I do a Rebirth album, I pick up my guitar and I end up on the Country Music Awards playing with Kid Rock and Willie Nelson. I approach the situation the way it’s supposed to be approached – so this is Tha Carter V album, and this is the way I’m supposed to spit on Tha Carter V.”
