Not long after Donald Trump officially pardoned Lil Wayne, the Young Money CEO took to his Twitter page to share a statement about the situation and to thank the 45th president of the USA, as well as his attorney Bradford Cohen.
“I want to thank President Trump for recognizing that I have so much more to give to my family, my art, and my community. I also want to thank [attorney Bradford Cohen] for working so diligently to secure another chance for me. Love!”
Tunechi‘s attorney also participated in an interview with The New York Times recently where he claimed Tune did not meet up with Trump in October, 2020 just to receive a pardon like a lot of people are suggesting.
In related news, fellow rappers and peers of Weezy, such as Fat Joe, 2 Chainz, Busta Rhymes, Royce Da 5’9″, Wack 100 and Lil Skies, have all reacted positively on social media to the pardon news. Check it out below!
