Many people predicted Lil Wayne would have something to do with “UNDISPUTED” going forward after Shannon Sharpe announced his departure earlier this year, and now it is going to be a reality.
During a new episode of his “The Skip Bayless Show“, the American sports columnist and commentator revealed Tunechi will be joining the sports television show as a contributor every Friday for at least one segment.
“Wayne has agreed, every Friday going forward, to do a segment with me live. He might not always be in the studio depending on his schedule, but he will join me every Friday for a segment. I don’t know… 12, 15 minutes. If he’s hot, if he’s rolling, maybe we’ll keep him a couple segments if he has the time. That, you can look forward to.
He is so deep when it comes to sports. He doesn’t yell or scream, but he does get emotional, and you hang on his every word because trust me, he has thought through every single word. I like to say I see things and say things that others don’t… Wayne is my match – that’s why I love him so much, that’s why we text so much about sports.”
Skip also mentioned “Wayne is heart and soul into the re-launch”, which is due to happen later this month on August 28th. In another clip, the “UNDISPUTED” host shared the news that Weezy has created a brand new theme song for the show to replace “No Mercy” and it even includes him playing the guitar.
Below, you can watch Bayless talk about Tune joining “UNDISPUTED” as a debate partner and the upcoming new theme song, which he says is “even better than the original”! Are you looking forward to seeing Mr. Carter every Friday on the new-look sports show?
