In their conversation, available for viewing below, Jacquees talks about Lil Wayne‘s profound influence on him while growing up and recalls buying a Cash Money Records chain at the tender age of 8:
“Wayne has been a major influence on me. I had a Cash Money chain when I was 8 years old. I bought it from the beauty supply store.”
“As a child, he [Lil Wayne] is someone I idolized.”
The R&B singer also discusses emulating Tunechi by sporting foil in his mouth, mimicking his hairstyle transitions from braids to dreadlocks, relating to his stature, having a nickname of “Weezy” on the football field, and expresses his desire to collaborate on a song with him!
