On July 5th, Lil Wayne made a surprise appearance as a live performer at the 2024 Essence Festival of Culture, held at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Despite Juvenile hinting at a reunion of the Hot Boys and Cash Money Millionaires, the reunion did not take place. Instead, just Birdman, Mannie Fresh, Juvie, and B.G. performed together for the Cash Money 30-year reunion. Wayne, however, came out for his own set afterward and did not perform any Hot Boys music.
Weezy‘s set included hits like “Uproar,” “Love Me,” “Lollipop,” “Mrs. Officer,” “Steady Mobbin’,” “A Milli,” and “Every Girl“. He was joined by Gudda Gudda, Jae Millz, and Mack Maine, emphasizing that it was all about Young Money.
You can watch a recap of the full show below, featuring performances from Cash Money, as well as Bun B, Scarface, The Lox (Sheek Louch, Styles P, and Jadakiss), 2 Chainz, and Tunechi. Feel free to skip to the 1:27:30 mark to go straight to Tune‘s set!
