After performing live at SNL’s 50th Anniversary Special in New York City, Lil Wayne made another big appearance. On Monday, February 17th, he filled in for co-host Kevin Wildes on “First Things First” on Fox Sports 1.
Wayne joined Nick Wright and Chris Broussard to break down the NBA All-Star Game’s new format. They discussed LeBron James sitting out, plus whether Chris Paul and Victor Wembanyama should have been disqualified from the Skill Games.
The conversation then shifted to the Los Angeles Lakers. Could they make a serious NBA Finals run this season? They also debated Mac McClung’s historic three-peat in the Dunk Contest and whether the event needs bigger stars.
Coach Eric Mangini later joined the panel to share his take on Bucky Brooks’ Top 5 Super Bowl contenders. Weezy and his co-hosts also talked about the Green Bay Packers, Jordan Love, and Aaron Rodgers’ future in the league.
Before wrapping up, Tunechi took part in his own “Weird & Wonderful” segment. He reacted to McClung’s Dunk Contest win, Illinois mishandling Terrence Shannon Jr.’s jersey retirement, NHL 4 Nations Face-Off fights, and Mr. Beast’s All-Star halftime challenge.
